OUR MISSION
Our Athlete Development Program helps develop the skills and confidence of young athletes with high potential but limited or no access to training and development facilities and resources, to pursue post-secondary athletics and succeed in their careers/academics. The program focuses on on-and-off court development, with high quality training, skill and strength development at the gym, and also confidence and mental health seminars in a classroom setting.
The Tony Perkins Basketball Academy Program was established in 2003 by Tony Perkins, who had an idea to create a program where he would be able to take at risk youth, and while using basketball allow them to enhance their abilities.
The Tony Perkins Basketball Academy is an organization that is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of student athletes. We focus on the development of young players in the game. Utilizing the rigors of athletic competition, our aim is to improve athletic and academic skills, while enhancing important life skills such as self-discipline, positive relationship building, attention to detail and good sportsmanship. Participants within our program play in local, regional, and national tournaments. To ensure that we develop well-rounded youth athletes, we provide ambitious programs of academic enrichment and community service.

The program achieved success from day one. In the first three years, our teams competed against Elite AAU teams across the country, and won a few of those tournaments... Nike South Florida Heat Director Mrs. Pat Stevens was watching and called Coach Perk after the 2006 Travel season. After a long hiatus, we are back and committed to each athlete in assisting their growth and development of their athletic, educational, and social skills. Ideally each student Athlete will take this experience, and apply it to things in their everyday lives.
