The Tony Perkins Youth Basketball League is proud to offer a Basketball league designed as a bridge program to take players from lessons into competitive play! This league is designed for beginners, 4th - 8th Grade.

LEAGUE RULES
- A player may play for only ONE team during league play.
- Girls cannot play on boys’ teams and boys cannot play on girls’ teams.
- Entry fees will not be refunded after the deadline if you drop from the league.
- Players must be enrolled in fourth grade or higher.
- Players cannot switch teams once games have started.
- Evaluations are not tryouts; every player in our leagues makes a team
- Evaluations are used to keep teams fair and competitive
- Team requests are not taken by coaches or administrative staff as we do not permit “team stacking”

RULES OF PLAY:
2024-2025 High School Rules will be played, with the following exceptions.
- No shot clock.
- 4th/5th Grade Boys and Girls divisions will use the junior size basketball (27.5”). Girls Middle School divisions will use the women’s size basketball (28.5”). Boys Middle School division will use the men’s size basketball (29.5”).
- Halves: 4th/5th grade: 15 minutes and Middle School: 20 minutes
- Overtime 2 minutes.
- Press Rule: 20 points. No full court press once your team is up by more than 20 points. Your team must retreat back inside the 3 point arc until opponent crosses the center line with the ball, then you are allowed to play defense. The offense has the option to cross the center line at any time; however the 10 second backcourt count starts when the defensive team is behind the 3 point arc.
- Technical or Intentional fouls – 2 points awarded and ball out of bounds. Two technical foul on a coach or fan and he/she is ejected from the gym. One technical on a player, the player sits on the bench for the remainder of the game. Officials and Gym Administrators have the right to eject a fan or player. Fans must leave the entire gym. Two technical fouls during the league on a player, they are removed completely from the league. NO EXCEPTIONS!
